Ahoy Squadron members!
Here is the schedule for the Southern Gulf Islands’ cruise, from June 25th to July 3rd:
- June 25th and 26th: Princess Cove on Wallace Island will be our first stop. It’s a great little island often overlooked and has much to offer. I haven’t been there for a few years, and am looking forward to hanging Chelsea’s name up with some of my past boats names. So don’t forget to bring your wood carving tools! There’s always a lot of crab to be found and I also heard a rumour that there will be a kayak tour through the phosphorescence at night.
- June 27th: We will head into Ganges, Saltspring Island for re-provision. Here we can have the option of:
- Staying in Ganges at Saltspring Marina (waiting to hear on availability)
- Staying at Ganges Marina
- Anchoring in Annette Inlets on Prevost Island if the wind and weather cooperate.
- June 28th and 29th: We will head over to Sydney Spitt. I have never been there and am looking forward to exploring something new. I heard there is a bunch of Bob Marley look alkies and there may even be a tribe of Hawaiian head-hunters. I’m sure the ‘Prawnstar’ may make an appearance to ward them off. So keep your eyes shut and your liquor cabinets unlocked.
- June 30th: We head to another destination to which I have not been to, by boat anyways: Victoria for Canada day July 1st, I heard that Victoria puts on quite a show and am looking forward to it .
- July 2nd: We head to Montague Harbour and I was thinking maybe somewhere else but that will be the initial plan for now anyway.
