The last cruise of the 2009 season started out small with 3 PMPSS boats rafted up together Friday night. It was BoyNSea, Boatini, and Saranade on a beautiful moonlit night. The sun came out on Saturday and another boat showed up to our humble group: newly transferred members, Bruce and Sheila Leavitt in their vessel “Justavacation” joined us. So, with 4 boats we needed to move over to our usual stern tie location. However a Coquitlam Squadron member was there, so Tony and Abby toured over to sweet talk them and asked them to join us. As it turned out Tony knew them! So we all moved over to our spot, Jim stern tied and then there were 5! We had a good time Saturday, watched Steve play with his remote control power boat and mingled with new friends. ‘Justavaction' brought out sushi late in the afternoon and we ended up on their boat most of the evening. They are a welcome addition to the squadron and we all enjoyed their company! Sunday a few more boats came out including: Minstrel, Merlin and Bull Durham. We had appies onboard Merlin in the afternoon and then it was time to leave. Thank you to everyone who turned out, even with the rainy Friday night. - Kim Church.
