Rain, … they said it would rain, … all weekend. Nonetheless, 9 boats decided what the heck, it's still quality time away, and there was still fun to be had …. We were right. Not only did the sun make a pretty good appearance, the crabbing, the company and the food was really great (which is par for the course with our group). Crews from Buck'n Boat, Seahorse, Merlin, Boatini, Big Bubbles, Memory Maker, Lucky Day, Boy n' Sea and After Hours all enjoyed a lot of laughs and some hilarious memories were made. Sunday night was the scheduled pot luck dinner at the Hilton, which is a very cozy floathouse cabin on the dock. Once again, everyone outdid themselves with amazing appies and potluck fare. Then we got into the music. I don't know what possesses us to think we can sing, or dance for that matter, especially after a few bevies. Well, maybe there's the problem. What started as a nice casual dinner, ended up with several rousing renditions of various tunes through the ages … complete with really great choreographed dance numbers. It was truly a night to remember, and that we did after a short video was made, just to keep the memories in our minds forever ha ha. When you have that many laughs and have that much fun together, you just don't want to forget it. And there was another Labour Day weekend gone by, back in our boats, back to Reed Point, and back to the hubbub we call life. Snug Cove was great, and if you haven't seen the new washrooms and shower house which is now right on the dock, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Thanks to everyone for the great time once again! - Grace Burrell, Big Bubbles No Troubles.
